How We Met
Jasmine and Nicholas met at work in 2019. Jasmine had started a new job that was closer to home and Nicholas had recently moved to The Bronx.
The company was renovating the office space and Jasmine, along with her team, were moved to the cafeteria on the second floor. Nicholas also worked on the second floor and they ran into each other at the vending machine. The rest is history!
The Proposal
On May 17th, 2024 — Jasmine’s birthday — the stars aligned for a moment that would forever change both of their lives.
Nicholas had spent weeks crafting a day that would feel like something out of a dream, saying nothing to Jasmine about his plans, only ensuring that everything — her makeup, nails, hair, and the perfect outfit — was carefully prepared for something unforgettable.
As they got into the car, Jasmine’s heart was already full. She turned to Nicholas and whispered how blessed she felt, how happy she was to simply be by his side on her special day — unaware that the most beautiful moment of her life was waiting just around the corner.
As the car approached the destination, Nicholas gently asked Jasmine to close her eyes. She obeyed, smiling. Moments later, the car came to a stop. When she opened her eyes again, Nicholas was standing there, opening her door with a soft smile. The warm spring breeze kissed her skin, and she realized they were near the water. He reached for her hand.
They walked together into a mysterious building — its modern elegance cloaked in wonder. Towering sculptures rose around them, and shelves of books gave the air of a grand, secret library. Before Jasmine could take it all in, a concierge approached as if part of a fairy tale, guiding them silently to a hidden elevator.
As the elevator doors opened, the world fell away.
They stepped onto a rooftop glowing with soft candlelight, where a table for two stood before a floor-to-ceiling window revealing the breathtaking majesty of the New York City skyline. The city glittered beneath them, alive with light and promise. They sat together, awe-struck by the view and wrapped in the magic of the moment.
Dinner was decadent, every bite rich with joy. And when it was over, Nicholas suggested a walk. Hand in hand, they stepped onto the open deck. The air was sweet with spring, the lights below like stars come to earth. Nicholas pointed to a quiet walkway nearby. “Let’s go there,” he said, his voice soft, but his heart racing — for he knew what was coming.
And Jasmine… she had no idea that just steps away, beneath the open sky and the gaze of a thousand city lights, her life was about to change forever.
